As a Temporary Payroll Support Specialist focusing on timekeeping, your role entails gathering and posting employee timekeeping information and overseeing the hours worked by our hourly workers. Additionally, you will process planned exceptions and timecard entries while addressing any discrepancies that may arise with our employees' timecards. You will also communicate with the program’s TECs to guarantee that they encourage their groups to verify and approve their timecards. Your duties further include responding to emails, generating reports, managing audits, and fulfilling any other essential responsibilities for the department's effectiveness.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out timekeeping tasks for the payroll department.
Maintain and oversee employee timekeeping records.
Review and correct any errors in timekeeping records.
Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding timekeeping and exceptions.
Investigate and analyze timekeeping issues for the current period.
Comply with company policies related to timekeeping functions.
Process exceptions on employee timecards.
Keep exception and timekeeping database records updated.
Ensure Paychex filters and attendance rosters reflect the latest separations.
Manage complaints or questions concerning discrepancies, ensuring timely resolutions before payroll processing.
Prepare daily reports.
Encourage ambassadors to report discrepancies promptly and check and approve their timecards.
Compile reports and conduct audits.
Perform any other responsibilities vital to the department’s success.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
High school diploma or equivalent; a BSc/BA in accounting/business administration/HR is advantageous.
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
Strong communication skills complemented by problem-solving aptitude.
Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with a keen focus on detail and confidentiality.
Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in computer applications, particularly with a robust understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to handle multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Desktop or Laptop Computer (Tablets, Chromebooks, WinBooks, Macs, or Virtual Machines are not allowed).
Processor: i5 or newer (or Ryzen 5+) with at least 2GHz processing speed.
A minimum of 16GB RAM.
256 GB SSD.
You must have administrator access on the computer you are using.
Windows 11 OS (Mac systems are not acceptable).
High-speed Internet Access with 20MBPS download and 20MBPS upload or better.
A hardwired connection is required; wireless internet connections are not permissible.
VPNs are not allowed while on duty.
Dual monitors, each at least 20 inches in size.
Webcam for meetings and training sessions.
All peripherals must be hardwired (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
PAY AND BENEFITS
Pay Rate: $19.26 hourly.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 3 months.
Candidates must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
