Position Summary

Amalga Group is a nearshore BPO partner headquartered in Austin, TX, with operations in Monterrey, Mexico. We help U.S. companies in tech, legal, retail, and financial services build high-performing, cost-effective teams in Latin America. Our mission is to bring together U.S. businesses and top Latin American talent into one seamless, people-first operation.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Sales Team Lead to join Amalga’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team on a full-time basis. This person will occupy a pivotal leadership role within our fast-paced environment, serving as the primary performance catalyst for a team of sales representatives.

You will be directly responsible for driving revenue growth, leading client-facing product/software demonstrations, elevating team performance, and delivering measurable results against defined KPIs.

This role is not just about oversight; it is about actively setting standards, removing operational barriers, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the team. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to hands-on development, leading by example, demonstrating effective sales techniques, and stepping into complex sales situations alongside your team to ensure deal progression and pipeline health.

Furthermore, you will bridge the gap between day-to-day operations and strategic oversight by analyzing performance metrics and preparing detailed business reviews for senior leadership and client stakeholders. This role is ideal for a metrics-driven leader and a self-starter who excels in high-pressure environments, knows how to motivate sales professionals at varying skill levels, and understands how to turn data into actionable coaching strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives through daily guidance, structured coaching sessions, and ongoing performance feedback.

  • Design and execute individualized development plans for underperforming team members, setting clear milestones and tracking progress.

  • Drive the achievement of team sales targets, conversion rates, and revenue goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Monitor pipeline health, call activity, and deal progression to proactively identify risks and opportunities.

  • Implement proven sales strategies and ensure consistent application of sales methodologies across the team.

  • Lead by example when necessary, demonstrating effective sales techniques and stepping into complex sales situations to support representatives.

  • Lead and host product/software demonstrations for potential leads, primarily in Spanish and potentially in English as requested, presenting product capabilities, addressing customer questions, and supporting the sales process to drive successful client acquisition.

  • Monitor and analyze team-level and individual KPIs, including conversion rates, sales activity, quality scores, pipeline progression, and revenue per representative.

  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports and business reviews to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 2–5+ years of progressive sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • 1–3+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience in a sales or customer-facing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals at varying skill levels.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting sales dashboards, performance reports, and KPI data.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar tools, as well as sales performance reporting tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish, with the ability to confidently lead product/software demonstrations for potential leads. English proficiency is required to support demos and client communication as requested.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and perform in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience leading or supporting client-facing product/software demonstrations.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a BPO, call center, or outsourced sales environment.

  • Direct client-facing experience, including participation in business reviews, client performance meetings, or sales demonstrations.

  • Background managing inbound and/or outbound sales teams across multiple product lines or campaigns.

  • Familiarity with workforce management tools, quality assurance platforms, and LMS systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this role will be measured through team quota attainment, revenue generation, conversion and close rates, demo-to-sale efficiency, quality scores, employee retention, attendance, and productivity metrics.
